![]() If you share my love of vintage quilts, then you have just found a site carrying one-of-a-kind gift items that you will cherish! Click on the links to view pictures of everyday, useful items lovingly covered in fabrics, designs, and colors from days gone by. Each vintage quilt tells a story all its own. Where did the quilt originate? Who made it? Who slept under it? Whose clothes were used to make it? How old are the feedsacks or fabrics? Using vintage quilts is such a joy for me. Taking a thing of beauty from years past, and creating something useful for today is fun, especially if others appreciate the beauty and see the function that I do! Most items in the pictures have been sold. If you see something you like, I will take orders and make something similar for you. Currently I am into prim Annies! I love doll making! I still cover various size journals, address books, photo albums, day planners, and have an assortment of Christmas stockings. I have a supply of lapel pins, bookmarks, keyrings, and Christmas ornaments all crafted from vintage quilts. Eventually I will get around to making tote bags from vintage quilts. Let me know if you want one! Fabric-covered photo albums with seasonal appliques are also offered here. Those of you interested in my dolls, I would be happy to write a little story to go with the doll, for a small fee. I can make custom dolls that are seasonal and work-related, as well - nurse, coal miner, cowboy, clown, etc. Let me know if your doll will be for your collection, or as a gift for a small child. I can make them playable and child friendly (no buttons). If you have a much-loved quilt that is tattered or torn, and just cannot part with it, perhaps you would like to have something crafted from it! Recently I covered photo albums and made Christmas stockings from a quilt for a family in memory of their mother and father. My site is more of a "show and tell" site. If you see something that you would like to order, please contact me at mulberrypatchworks@yahoo.com Let me know that you have been here by signing my guest book.
